Bernard Laporte, tout jeune secrétaire d'Etat au sport, est venu participer aux vacations radio de la mi journée avec les concurrents de la Transat Jacques Vabre.
Rencontre au sommet entre Loick Peyron ( sur ) et Bernard Laporte, le marin faisant preuve de beaucoup de combattivité dans son combat pour remonter quelques milles sur Foncia.
Bernard Laporte a tenu à souligner son admiration pour les marins : « Je ne suis pas un expert, mais je sais que c’est un beau sport , dur et exigeant», a-t-il commenté.

Hi Kyle, I guess I missed the point, but you'e abtleusloy correct about the improved security. The LE folks and airport manager don't like to admit it, but they CANNOT cover every inch, 24/7. Experinced observers and spotters' could easily be the first to spot something untoward and yes, virtually all of them would report any such event, instantly. It is a shame that many U.S. authorities' regarad obserevers as a withless annoyance. It appears that the Holy Fathers in Canada take a slightly more enlightened approach. ha! It is not the first time and we have a lot to learn fron our Northern cousins. Best to you, -C.
